It's official

Next week I will be moving to Denmark to play professional volleyball! I am quite excited to travel the world and experience new cultures. So you all will be able to see what life is like while I am there and get a glimpse of the European life style.

This is a huge change for me but I am so excited to experience this new life. So welcome to my journey to Europe!

Do-Able DIY

So we've all seen those "do it yourself" posts that aren't so "do it yourself". But today I have the perfect post for you. Breakfast in bed just got better with this cute and easy serving tray. All you need is an old frame, some cute door handles and chalkboard paint.

In a matter of minutes you'll have the perfect serving tray. Easy and so DIY!

DIRECTIONS : Serving Tray
  1. Place your frame down on a good working surface in a landscape position.
  2. Measure the frame from top to bottom and make a pencil marking in the middle of the frame on both the left and right sides.
  3. Place your handles over this mark and make sure that the middle of your handle is over the pencil marking you have made.
  4. Using a pencil lightly draw a circle on the frame around the top and the bottom of the handle .
  5. Drill a hole through the centre of each of these circular markings that you have made.
  6. Feed the bolts through the drilled hole from the backside of the frame. The bolts should meet up with the handle on the front side of the frame.
  7. Screw the bolt into the base of the handles until tight on both the left and right side of the frame.
  8. Download the free tray printables, print and trim to fit inside your frame behind the glass.
Thanks to The Pretty Blog for this cute post!

Denim Love

I'm obsessed with denim on denim, but like anything else there is a right way and a wrong way to wear this look. Here is a shot of the perfect blend of denim.

Smile, it's Thursday!

Inspired by...

Today as my hair became damp with sweat and the sun scorched my skin I couldn't help but find myself wishing for fall. I love Autumn, every part about it. I love the way the leaves change color and how the temperature drops. I love the smell of cooked cinnamon and the taste of pumpkin treats, but more than anything I love the way it feels. Maybe it is the idea of all these wonderful things coming together, or possibly it is the fact that the holidays are right around the corner. Whatever the case may be Fall has a stillness to it. It is a time where the Lord again shows His wonder with the colors He paints and the feel of the light breeze He sends. It's a time to enjoy the world around us.

So today I am inspired by Fall.
What inspires you?

Envelopes

As I was browsing pinterest like I have been the past couple days, I came across a cute DIY post. I love cute stationary and the idea of making your own envelopes out of scrapbook paper you can choose is perfect! So instead of purchasing those old boring envelopes head to the scrapbook section and pick out the perfect paper for your letter.

Enjoy the weekend and get crafty!

It is hot...

So beat the heat with a totally cute updo.

The Beauty Department shared another cute DIY hair post which is simply perfect with this heat. When it is hot the last thing I want is my hair on my neck, but just because it's triple digits doesn't mean you can get off the hook with a bad hairstyle. So follow these easy steps and walk out the door tomorrow with the perfect heat beating updo.

U.S.A.

I don't know about you all but I am loving watching the Olympic games. It makes me so proud to be an American, and yesterdays games were no exception. Being a volleyball player I have looked up to the queens of the sand May and Walsh. Watching them play their last match yesterday was bitter sweet. I was so happy to see them take the gold for a threepeat, but sad to be reminded at the end that this was Misty's last games.

Now on to our DIY post for the day.
To go with the Olympic games I found this cute DIY denim vest on the freepeople blog. It's easy to create and can be changed to any design you want. So get creative and have fun!

Have a terrific Thursday friends!

Enjoy the last bits of vacation and take some time for yourself before the crazy begins.

Bunches of Bows

It was a craft night here at the Hasemeyer home last night. We invited a couple people over to watch the Olympics and the girls got to work. We glued, sewed and got creative until late into the night. Needless to say Charlotte is going to be spoiled with her bunches of bows.

Have a fun crafty Saturday and stay cool in this California heat!

It's been a long week.

And today all I have wanted to do is sit by the pool and relax. But in the life of Krista that is not an option and instead today was filled with my list of things to do.

I hope you have all been enjoying your warm Thursday! Soak up the sun and have a great night!
